You will navigate the stunningly clear river on an eight-person raft, working in perfect harmony with your friends and professional guide.

The water levels in the Okutama section of the Tama River are expertly regulated, ensuring consistent conditions for exciting whitewater rafting throughout the year. Because the river remains remarkably stable even after rainfall, it offers a safer environment compared to other locations without sacrificing the thrill of the abundant, crystal-clear rapids.

Photos

At Crusoe Rafting, photos taken by guides during the session will be uploaded to a password-protected online web album. You can view and download photos free of charge.

What to bring and wear

 Musts
  • Swim wear or change of undergarments
  • Towel
Maybes (depending on situation)
  • Quick-drying T-shirt or lycra shirt (For those not wearing wetsuits from July to September)
  • Student ID (For students)
  • Glasses strap or goggles (For those with glasses or contact lenses)

* We can also provide a set of swimwear and towels for those who did not bring anything. (Fee is required)

All necessary gear (helmet, life jacket, wetsuit, aqua shoes) is provided and included in the fee. We also have gear for children.

Experienced participants are welcome to bring their own gear.

  • For online reservations: Advanced payment via credit card.
  • For phone reservations: Payment on-site on the day of your session.

PLEASE NOTE

 No alcohol consumption prior to rafting. For your safety, guides have the final say on participation. If you are deemed unable to safely join the activity, you will not be permitted to board.

Insurance

Crusoe's rafting experiences include the following insurance:

In addition to injury insurance, Crusoe Rafting provides liability insurance for your peace of mind.

Cancellation

Rafting sessions will proceed in rain.
If a session is cancelled due to severe weather, we will contact you as follows:
- AM Session: By 8 PM the previous day
- PM Session: By 8 AM on the day of the session

Changes to your reservation date are possible up to 8 days before your scheduled session, subject to availability
Please note that cancellations or date changes made 7 days or less before the session will incur a cancellation fee.
Contact us as early as possible for any alterations.

Please note that arriving significantly late for your rendezvous time for any reason (including public transport delays) will be treated as a same-day cancellation, and a 100% cancellation fee will apply.

Cancellation policy is listed as below.
▸7-4 days before: 30% ▸2-3 days before: 50% ▸previous day or day of: 100%
* For groups of 18+ people: 30% fee applies if the entire group cancels 14-8 days before.
